8 Week Hand Building Course
Beginner
This 8 week course, led by our instructor Ji, provides an in-depth introduction to hand building techniques. With a smaller group size of up to 12 students, you will be able to get more one on one time with our instructor to answer questions specific to your pieces.
Perfect for all skill levels—especially beginners aged 14+ —this class focuses on creating pieces using 3 main techniques - pinching, coiling, and slab building as well as learning about proper glaze brush on application techniques. In weeks 5 & 6 get ready to work on your final project that will combine everything you learned so far to create your own masterpiece to take home - and that's on top of many other pieces you will leave with! Come ready to explore, create, and grow!

Courses are for ages 14+
The course is non-refundable and requires at least 7 days notice to reschedule regardless of the time of booking or reasons for rescheduling.
We can accommodate one make up session per course based on our availability. Please note that due to the materials used during the course, we are not able to reschedule first two classes.
By signing up to this course, you acknowledge that pottery is a learning process and pieces sometimes breaking or cracking during the firing process is an integral part of pottery. While our instructors handle all pieces with utmost care, Olive Branch Pottery is not responsible for the pieces getting broken during the firing process and does not provide refunds or make up classes in the event it happens.
Your pieces will be ready for pick up within 3 weeks from the last class.
