8 Week Hand Building Course

Service Description

This 8 week course, led by our instructor Ji, provides an in-depth introduction to hand building techniques. With a smaller group size of up to 12 students, you will be able to get more one on one time with our instructor to answer questions specific to your pieces. Perfect for all skill levels—especially beginners aged 14+ —this class focuses on creating pieces using 3 main techniques - pinching, coiling, and slab building as well as learning about proper glaze brush on application techniques. In weeks 5 & 6 get ready to work on your final project that will combine everything you learned so far to create your own masterpiece to take home - and that's on top of many other pieces you will leave with! Come ready to explore, create, and grow! Course Overview: Class 1: Pinching Technique Class 2: Coiling Technique Class 3: Pottery Templates Class 4: Slab Technique Class 5: Final Project Class 6: Final Project & Underglazing Class 7: Underglazing Class 8: Glazing Pieces will be ready for pick up in 3 weeks after the final class. Terms and Conditions: Classes are for ages 14+ All courses are non-refundable. We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. There are no partial refunds for missed classes. Our instructor will not be able to repeat the demo in case of late arrival. Please make sure to arrive on time. Make-up Sessions: We will try to accommodate one makeup class per course, however we may not always be able to do so. Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Note that new work can't be started in the last two classes (unless you are registered for the following session)
