Service Description

This 4 weeks course is perfect for beginners who would love to explore pottery using a variety of pottery templates. Whether you're looking to make a personalized mug or a decorative vase, this course is the perfect place to create beautiful and functional pieces that will be cherished for years to come. With this course you will be able to create 2 - 3 pieces that will be food safe after glazing and firing. Please note that this course does not involve usage of a pottery wheel. Course Outline: Week 1: Learn about slab technique and cut shapes for the pieces of your choosing using pottery templates. Week 2: Assemble your pieces together. Week 3: Make final touches to your pieces, decorate them using a variety of stamps or molds available at our studio. Week 4: Learn about glazing using brush on or dip techniques. This course is includes unlimited clay and firing of your pieces. Aprons are available at our studio for your use. Course Policies: The course is non-refundable and requires at least 7 days notice to reschedule regardless of the time of booking or reasons for rescheduling. We can accommodate one make up session per course based on our availability. Please note that due to the materials used during the course, we are not able to reschedule first two classes. By signing up to this course, you acknowledge that pottery is a learning process and pieces sometimes breaking or cracking during the firing process is an integral part of pottery. While our instructors handle all pieces with utmost care, Olive Branch Pottery is not responsible for the pieces getting broken during the firing process and does not provide refunds or make up classes in the event it happens. Your pieces will be ready for pick up within 3 weeks from the last class. Please refer to the "Firing Updates" page for our pick up hours, pick up due dates, and firing updates.
