3 Week Matcha Set Course
All Levels
Join us for a hands-on 3 week pottery hand building course where you’ll design and create an elegant matcha set. Guided by our experienced instructor, Darina, you’ll learn essential hand-building techniques to craft a match bowl, mug, and whisk holder.
Throughout the course, you’ll explore surface design, pottery templates, and glazing methods. You’ll take home a handcrafted and food safe set for your matcha needs :)
No prior experience is needed; just bring your creativity and curiosity! All tools, clay, and materials are included.
This course does not involve usage of pottery wheel.
Course Outline:
Week 1: Slab Technique and Pottery Templates
Week 2: Surface Design and Final Touches
Week 3: Underglazing (painting) & Glazing
Course Policies:
Courses are for ages 14+
Please note that there are no make up sessions available for this course. You can book one of the drop in classes to glaze your pieces in the event you miss the last class. If you are unable to participate, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the course to receive refund (20$ charge will be kept by the studio).
By signing up to this course, you acknowledge that pottery is a learning process and pieces sometimes breaking or cracking during the firing process is an integral part of pottery. While our instructors handle all pieces with utmost care, Olive Branch Pottery is not responsible for the pieces getting broken during the firing process and does not provide refunds or make up classes in the event it happens.
Your pieces will be ready for pick up within 3 weeks from the last class.
