Our 2.5-hour self-guided wheel sessions provide time for throwing or trimming on a Shimpo Whisper wheel. Your ticket includes pottery tools and unlimited clay. You’ll have about 2 hours and 10 minutes of independent wheel time, with the last 20 minutes for cleanup. 

These sessions do not include demos—you must be comfortable working independently. We recommend having completed at least two beginner wheel courses or equivalent experience.

Trimming
We offer shelf space to store pieces for up to 2 weeks before trimming. Trimming requires a separate wheel-session booking.

Firing & Glazing

Firing Process
Firing and glazing are not included in the session price. Firing fees: $5 for a regular-sized piece and $10 for pieces over 10 inches, payable at the end of your session. Firings take up to 3 weeks; finished pieces are posted on the Firing Updates page. Fired pieces are kept for 4 weeks—please pick up or glaze them before the due date.

Glazing Process
After the bisque firing, you may glaze your piece by booking any hand-building/glazing class. ​
