Service Description

Join us for a hands-on 3 week pottery hand building course where you’ll create an elegant matcha set. Guided by our experienced instructor, Dale, you’ll learn essential techniques to craft a match bowl, mug, and whisk holder. To make the course even more special, we collaborated with Ao Cha, who will lead a matcha making & tasting workshop in the last week of the course! PLEASE NOTE: May 9 (week 3) will be 3 hours long, from 10 am to 1pm, as it will combine both the last pottery session and matcha making workshop. Throughout the course, you’ll explore surface design, pottery templates, and glazing methods. You will also learn everything you need to make your perfect matcha at home. No prior experience is needed; just bring your creativity and curiosity! All tools, clay, and materials are included. This course does not involve usage of pottery wheel. Course Outline: Week 1: Matcha Mug Week 2: Matcha Bowl & Whisk Holder Week 3: Glazing & Ao Cha Workshop Please note that there are no make up sessions available for this course. You can book one of the drop in classes to glaze your pieces in the event you miss the last class. If you are unable to participate, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the course to receive refund (30$ charge will be kept by the studio).
