Take a deeper dive into the world of clay with our 8-Week Beginner Pottery Course. Designed for complete beginners or those looking to expand their knowledge of pottery, this comprehensive course offers an in-depth introduction to both wheel throwing and hand building, giving you the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and develop your own creative style. Each weekly class is 2.5 hours long (including 30 minutes for cleanup) and includes all materials, tools, glazes, and firing. With plenty of time to practice and experiment, you'll build confidence and gain a solid foundation in pottery from start to finish. What you'll learn: * Wheel throwing fundamentals and how to center clay * Trimming and refining your pieces * Hand building techniques for creating unique forms * Surface design and decorative techniques * Glazing methods and finishing your work * Tips and guidance to help you continue your pottery journey This course is perfect for those looking for a more immersive experience and a well-rounded introduction to ceramics. Whether you're hoping to discover a new hobby, develop artistic skills, or simply enjoy the process of making with your hands, this 8-week course provides the time and support to truly fall in love with pottery. Terms and Conditions: Classes are for ages 14+ All courses are non-refundable. We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. There is no partial refund for missed classes. Late arrival will result in missed demonstration. Our instructor will not be able to repeat it for you so please arrive on time. All course work must be completed in the studio. We are only able to fire pieces made in the studio under instructor's supervision to minimize the risk of pieces exploding during firing. Make-up Sessions: We will try to accommodate one makeup class per session, however we may not always be able to do so. Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. For missed classes in the last two weeks, rescheduling will not be possible due to firing schedules. Note that new work can't be started during the last two classes (unless you are registered for the following session) We are unable to roll over make-up classes into the next session.
